Chicken Noodle Soup
Ingredients
- 2½ cups wide egg noodles
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 12 cups chicken broth
- 1½ tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
- ⅓ cup cornstarch
- ¼ cup water
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Bring large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
Step 2
Add egg noodles and oil and boil for 8 minutes or until tender. Drain and rinse under cool running water.
Step 3
In large saucepan or Dutch oven combine broth, salt, poultry seasoning and garlic powder and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Stir in celery and onion and reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Step 5
In small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until cornstarch is completely dissolved.
Step 6
Gradually add to soup, stirring constantly. Stir in noodles and heat through. Serve steaming hot.
