Coffee Crusted Steaks
Ingredients
- 2 10 ounce ribeye steaks
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Coffee Rub
- 1 tablespoon coarse ground pepper
- ½ cup seasoning salt
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup coffee granules, finely ground
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400F. And bring the steaks to room temperature. Pat dry with a paper towel.
Step 2
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Brush both sides of steak with olive oil and rub both sides of steaks with mixture.
Step 3
Heat a cast iron pan over medium high heat and heat 1-tablespoon olive oil. Sear the steaks 2-3 minutes per side in the pan until they turn crusty and brown.
Step 5
Remove the steaks from the pan, set them aside covered to rest 10 minutes before serving.
