Cinnamon Coffee Cake
Ingredients
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp butter, softened
- ½ cup chopped pecans

- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened to room temperature
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1½ cups all purpose flour
- 1½ cup whole wheat flour (freshly ground)
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Mix the first five ingredients in a small bowl till crumbly and set aside.
Step 2
Combine sugars and butter in a large mixing bowl to form a thick smooth mixture. Beat in eggs, then milk. Stir in dry ingredients.
Step 3
Spread half of batter in a greased 9×13″ pan. Top with half of the crumb mixture.
Step 4
Add remaining batter in spoonfuls on top of the crumbs and spread it as evenly as possible. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon mixture on top.
Step 5
Bake at 350° for about 40-45 minutes or or until set in the center (you can test with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, it’s ready.
