Chocolate Cookie Truffles
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package chocolate creme cookies, (Oreo brand or other) divided
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 (8 ounce) packages semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Crush 9 cookies to fine crumbs in food processor and reserve for later use.
Step 2
Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs and place in medium bowl. Add cream cheese and mix until well blended.
Step 3
Roll cookie mixture in to 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
Step 4
Dip balls in chocolate and place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. Any unused chocolate can be stored at room temperature for another use.
Step 5
Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Keep leftover truffles covered and refrigerated.
