Classic Blueberry Pie
Ingredients
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 recipe pastry for 9-inch double crust pie
- 1 tablespoon butter
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Step 2
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and cinnamon.
Step 3
Sprinkle over blueberries.
Step 4
Line pie dish with one pie crust.
Step 5
Pour berry mixture into crust.
Step 6
Dot with butter.
Step 7
Cut remaining pastry into ½ – ¾ inch wide strips.
Step 8
Make lattice top.
Step 9
Crimp and flute edges.
Step 10
Bake pie on lower shelf of oven for about 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
